Coast Path Thrift

The Pembrokeshire coast path is alive with many colourful flowers during the spring and is quite breathtaking, particularly the Thrift which we have here. The showings vary from small patches, to huge areas where they grow in such profusion that grass is scarcely visible between them. Now you wrinklies, do you remember the old brass three pence piece which was minted until 1970? The Thrift was the plant featured on the reverse!
